Application Situation
Storage tank for petroleum fuels
Application Method
Works were carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-1. The leaking areas were prepared initially by wet slurry blasting, as the potentially explosive oil would not permit gritblasting or grinding. Belzona® 1111 was applied followed by Belzona® 9341 (Reinforcement Tape). Two coats of Belzona® 1321 completed the application.
Belzona Facts
Belzona repairs allowed tank to be safely re-instated without hot work and proved totally successful until the tank was eventually de-commissioned.
