Problem: Regular foot traffic and weathering caused the steps of this fire escape to become damaged and worn and had made it a potencial slip hazard.

Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with a modified Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FPA-8. Belzona® 4411 (Granogrip) was applied to the steps with aggregate incorporated in grey and yellow. Belzona® 5111/6111 system applied to the hand rails. Belzona® 1111 was used to smooth out corroded steelwork.

This solution was chosen as it is a long life and cost effective repair. The customer was extremely pleased with the aesthetic appearance of the application. The Belzona Grip system provides both positive grip and improved visibility to step nosings.
