Application Situation
An 8.5m Acrylonitrile storage tank was identified to need a more effective base seal to prevent under floor corrosion.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona® Know-How System Leaflets GSS-3.
Belzona Facts
This customer first became aware of the damage caused by under floor corrosion when they had to change a tank floor after only 10 years service. The tank in question had a mastic type base seal that proved to be ineffective. The floor was changed resulting in major financial and production losses. This company has now adopted Belzona Tank Base Sealing systems as its standard method for protecting their tanks from base corrosion.
