Problem: Corrosion problems were beginning on the tube sheet and end covers.

  2. Belzona® 1121 (Super XL Metal) was applied to repair perimeter of cover plate.

Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How Leaflets HEX-1, HEX-2, and HEX-3.
Belzona Facts
Rebuilding the covers prevented the seal area from leaking. A total of five chillers have been successfully coated with Belzona, and the contractor, Scherer, will be coating six more chillers to extend the life of the tube sheets and end covers.
