Problem: Corrosion was anticipated in the lower 1/3rd of the vessel. Design Temperatures were up to 150oC with sea water present.

Application Situation
Coalescer vessel for installation on a Floating Oil Production and Storage vessel (an FPSO) destined for the North Sea.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How Leaflet TCC-5.
Belzona Facts
Belzona was chosen for vessel protection following extensive testing simulating the operating conditions expected. No other coating was available to withstand the operating temperatures and pressures. Metal cladding could not be carried out within the time constraints of this fast track project.
