Belzona® Completes Full Refurbishment Of Chimney Stack

Application Situation:

The 28 metre tall stack in North Wales had undergone various temporary repair works in the past but due to its continued deterioration, a long term solution was required.



The chimney stack had several areas of spalled concrete due to moisture ingress.



Belzona® 4141 (Magma-Build)
Belzona® 5151 (Hi-Build Cladding)
Belzona® 5811 (Immersion Grade)





Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets WPA-1 & 4. The areas of damaged concrete were repaired with Belzona® 4141 before the chimney stack was fully coated with Belzona® 5151.


Belzona Facts:

Belzona products used provide the long term repair and protection required. In particular the Belzona® 4141 was ideally suited to repairing the damaged concrete on the certical surfaces whilst Belzona® 5151 provides micro-porous self cleaning weather protection. Finally Belzona® 5811 was used at the top to provide resistance to acidic fumes.
