Problem: A protective covering was needed for the clamps to withstand corrosive chemicals up to 60°C. The clamps are used to seal pipes which transport a waste by-product of the refining process.

Application Situation
Clamps were being used to seal leaking pipes where it is impossible to remove them from service.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5. Belzona® 4301 was used to smooth over the weld seams prior to the application.
Belzona Facts
Prior to Belzona the customer was using an expensive fill medium to inject into the clamps as a temporary fix. The customer is very impressed with the Belzona® 4341 and plans on coating more clamps with it.
