Belzona Provides Protection From Hot Gases At Water Treatment Plant

Application Situation:

Gases collected from the bilogical water treatment are processed in thermo-reactor and the gases at 75 – 130°C are corrosive.

Problem:

Sulphides, Sulphates, Chlorides, Ammonia, etc. in the gas caused pitting corrosion in the unit after 10 months.

Belzona® 4311 (Magma CR1)

Substrate:

Stainless steel (AISI 304 L)

Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5. After grit blasting and chemical cleaning, areas were coated with Belzona® 1392 or Belzona® 4311 (depending on temperature).

Belzona Facts:

Based on high temperature and various chemicals present,Belzona solution was chosen. After more than 12 months in service no defects have occurred and equipment remains fully protected.
