Application Situation
Repair to soot blowing air compressor operating at 12,500 cfm.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet GSS-7. This method included grit blasting the area to be built up. A mold was used to help form the correct fit and a disc sander was used to achieve the proper finish.
Belzona Facts
Use of Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal) resulted in the equipment being placed back in service at a substantial cost saving as opposed to having the air compressor welded and machined down.
