Application Situation
The pipework close to the ground is constantly exposed to water and mud.
Application Method
Following a surface preparation done by hydroblasting, the repair was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know How System Leaflet VPF-11a.
Belzona Facts
Given the environment, a hot repair was not an option. Belzona's cold application techniques allowed the customer to repair and protect these pipes using a sandwich material made of resins and reinforcement tape. The repair was inspected in 2011 and remained in perfect condition. Since 2006, many more pipes have been repaired using this technique.
