A 34-ton rock crusher.

 
 

Problem:

During a maintenance outage, the plants 34-ton rock crusher's main bearing saddles were showing unacceptable levels of wear.

Belzona® 1121 (Super XL-Metal)

 

Substrate:

Stainless steel

 
 

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet MPT-7 using Belzona® 1121 (Super XL-Metal) due to the extreme summer heat and long time required to "reset" the equipment via crane.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

This solution saved thousands of dollars versus replacement with new bearing saddles. The project was coordinated with less than a day's notice, with the Consultant hand delivering the product and remaining on-site for 24 hours to supervise the application.
