Problem: The client wanted to protect new tube sheets against bimetallic corrosion and tubes against corrosion/erosion. Also required to protect the condenser water boxes.

Application Situation
4 main condensers at Nuclear power plant. A single heat exchanger has 36.784 tubes.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets HEX-1, HEX-2 & HEX-3
Belzona Facts
Each tube (diameter 22 mm) was protected with Belzona® 1341 up to 15 cm inside by special roller. Water boxes were sprayed with Belzona® 5811, whilst tubesheets were protected with Belzona® 1341. The job was done in 2 shifts (12 hours/shift) per day.
