Problem: Having to connect new, industrial polypropylene pipe to the old iron pipe which is severely pitted, making it impossible to obtain a water tight seal for the joint sealing ring.

Application Situation
A new pipe work section required connecting to existing pipe work.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets VPF-1 and VPF-10.
Belzona Facts
Due to restricted and muddy working conditions it was not possible to allow machinery to be used for this repair, therefore a hand-held angle grinder was used to prepare the surface. The Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal) made a smooth collar around the pipe thus providing a watertight seal.
