Problem: Original paint system was failing allowing pipework to corrode. New protection required to be applied whilst system remained operational.

Application Situation
Hot pipework (aprox. 110°C) in the refinery
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet TCC-5. As the pipe was in hot service only minimal surface preparation could be carried out to remove the exsisting coating. Once the pipe was returned to a sound substrate, the product was applied by brush to the hot pipework.

Although this was a successful trial the major work which was intended has yet to proceed.
