Application Situation
A Super Grid Transformer was Leaking. Such transformers are used on the 400 or 275kV grid.
Application Method
Application was carried out using a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-11a. after preparing the metal with an MBX Bristle Blaster, Belzona® 1161 was then used to seal the bolts using PVC pipe of a wider diameter placed over the bolts and filled with the Belzona until totally encapsulated. Once cured, The PVC cups were cut away so that the entire flange could then be covered with Belzona® 5831 to provide overall corrosion protection. 
Belzona Facts
The application was a success and has been in service for over 8 months now with no signs of leakage, leading to further business with the same client on more of their assets.
