Application Situation
Oil tanker offloading hose spool pieces.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets VPF-2 & 13. A prefabricated aluminium former was used to create new flange face surface with Belzona® 1321 including gramaphone thread finish. A protective coating of Belzona® 1321 was applied inside the spool to offer protection against erosion-corrosion.
Belzona Facts
Replacement was unacceptable due to long lead times and cost. Belzona solution gave quick back in service time together with improved corrosion resistance making such repairs extremely cost effective.
