After preparing the top of the walls with a milling machine, the substrate was rebuilt and levelled with Belzona® 4111. The thickness varied between 2 and 50 mm. To provide additional traction for the wheels, Belzona® 5811 was applied and Belzona® 9211 added to the surface to provide a positive grip system.
Belzona Facts
The customer had previously tried to patch repair the track using steel fibre reinforced concrete, which, however, delaminated quickly. Subsequent repairs with other construction products equally failed. Even after the very hard winter of 2010/2011, the Belzona system is still in excellent condition thanks to its ability to withstand frost and subzero service conditions. The satisfied customer has commissioned further repairs on steps and plinths.
