Problem:

This unique chipper from Germany has 48” knives that are responsible for cutting the lumber into the appropriate chip size. Over a period of time, the knife pockets wear, causing unwanted fines and off-size chips.

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-13.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

Welding can cause localized heat stresses to the rotor assembly and replacement units have long procurement times since they have to be manufactured in Germany.
