Belzona® Saves Several Weeks Of Downtime

Application Situation:

Rubber lined felt rolls.

 
 

Problem:

The rubber lined felt rolls are damaged from continuous abrasive wear of the wires edge and underside. This eventually causes sheet stretching and/or wrinkling.

Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal)

 

Substrate:

Rubber lined steel

 
 

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-9.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

Putting a new rubber cover on a roll is very expensive and the roll is usually out of service for weeks.The hardness of the Belzona repair must be close to the hardness of the rubber. In this case Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal) is 89 Shore D, or a P&J hardness between 8 and 9.
