Problem: Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal) was used to repair the damaged surface of the press roll after a metal bolt had gone through the machine. The roll was then unable to remove water from the paper. This produced poor quality paper and resulted in breaks.

After an initial cure of 2-hours, the material was machined and subsequently rectified to obtain the appropriate surface finish. Belzona® 1111 (Super metal) P&J hardness of between eight and nine closely matched the existing rubber hardness of the roll.
