Pulp & Paper (PLPR)

Application:

Solids Handling Machinery (SHM)

Customer Location:

Paper Mill in Minnesota, USA

Application Date:

1999

Application Situation:

Press roll surface profile.

Problem:

Products:

Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal)

Substrate:

Rubber lined steel

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-9.

Belzona Facts:

After an initial cure of 2-hours, the material was machined and subsequently rectified to obtain the appropriate surface finish. Belzona® 1111 (Super metal) P&J hardness of between eight and nine closely matched the existing rubber hardness of the roll.
