Application Situation:

Newly constructed plant room at the University.



Plant room required protection from the possibility of water leaks and flooding to other areas.



Belzona® 4131 (Magma Screed)

Belzona® 5231 (SG Laminate)





Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflets FPA-3 and TCC-15. Belzona® 4131was used to create raised bunded areas and covings before applying Belzona® 5231 to completely seal the floor area.


Belzona Facts:

The customer had already experienced floods in other unprotected plant rooms and knew Belzona would be able to create the necessary protection required. The Belzona® 4131 enabled the construction of a raised containment area for spills for sealing with the impermeable Belzona® 5231. This coating has the added benefit of containing a non-slip aggregate improving the safety of the plant room when floor is wet.
