Problem: Due to the presence of small amounts of water in the oil, which ultimately separates to the base of the tank, the bottom of the tank and 1.5 metres up the sidewall were protected from future corrosion.

Application Situation
A new oil processing complex was under construction and included a series of heated oil storage tanks of varying sizes which required internal lining.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5 using heated airless spray.This was carried out after training of the on-site contractor had been completed.

Belzona® 1521 was chosen for its performance in constant hot water/hydrocarbon immersion and its application by spray was considered ideal for application to the large areas involved.
