Spalled Concrete Vaults Are Reconstructed With Belzona

Application Situation:

The entire secondary containment system of the plant consists of a small collection of vaults interconnected by 8-inch cast iron piping.

 
 

Problem:

Over the years the different thermal expansion characteristics of the pipes caused the concrete surrounding pipes in the vault to spall.

 
 

Products:

Belzona® 4141 (Magma Build)

Belzona® 4911 (Magma TX Conditioner)

 

Substrate:

Concrete

 
 

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-9.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

An EPA inspection was imminent. The plant chose Belzona to rectify their problems. The EPA inspection went well.
