Problem: Rubber coverings suffer regular mechanical damage and require refurbishment to maintain buoyancy.

Application Situation
Oil transfer hoses operating between single buoy moorings and tankers.
Application Method
Application carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SOS-12. Hoses were thoroughly cleaned, roughened and then conditioned with Belzona® 2911. The damage was then rebuilt using Belzona® 2211.
Belzona Facts
The use of Belzona material in this instance prevented further damage to the hose, in particular the fl otation material which if damaged may require the hose to be scrapped.
