Application Situation:

Ball mill shell damaged beneath wear plates.

 
 

Problem:

Due to the nature of the operation, the internal surfaces of the ball mill are subject to constant impact from the falling balls and other media present inside. Shell wall became damaged beneath the wear plates.

Carbon Steel

 
 

Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-7. After surface preparation, Belzona 1311 was used to rebuild the damaged areas to restore the original dimensions.

This application was carried out with minimal downtime, therefore saving money as well as time. The high adhesion and compressive strength of Belzona provides a solid foundation for the wear plates, ensuring a long service life for the mill.
