Belzona Facts
The Belzona Technical Consultant, the end-user and an engineering company all became involved in devising the correct procedure with which to move the two tanks. Sixteen metal pads were bonded to each tank. A metal support structure was erected so as to prevent the walls from collapsing. Calculations of the mechanical properties of Belzona® 1111 revealed that by carrying out the application as planned that 420 tons could be supported. This presented a safety margin of approximately 1,170%.
