Problem: At one point in time, the FRP coating failed when this tank was used for crude oil service. When the need arose for a replacement alternative coating, the customer opted for the best repair and coating option.

Application Situation
Coating and protection of spent process water storage tank.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of the Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5.
Belzona Facts
Seven months into the service life of the Belzona coating system, an adjacent fire damaged the top conical sections. Upon closer inspections, it was concluded that the interior walls were intact, and fully operational. The top section was repaired, and ultimately, coated once again with Belzona® 5811.
