Classic Pin-Housing Repair With Belzona

Application Situation:

Bush housing on excavator shovel

 
 

Problem:

Fretting and wear caused ovality of the bush housing due to the high forces transmitted through the pins.

Belzona® 1111 (Super Metal)

 

Substrate:

Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet MPT-8. The surface was prepared by grinding and new steel bushes bonded into place. In order to ensure the bushes were in the correct position, a dummy pin was used to locate the bushes.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

The application was completed within a day and involved no heat which could have damaged the large metal excavator shovel.
