Belzona® Rebuilds Cracks In Swimming Pool Basin

Application Situation:

The client wanted to upgrade the looks of an outdoor pool that had provided some 30 years of service but was in need of major repairs.



There were more than 500 lineal feet of cracks in the pool basin. These had been sealed over the years using various repair materials, some successful others not so successful.



Belzona® 4111 (Magma Quartz)





Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FPA-1.The cracks were “V” cut with a special diamond concrete grinding disc to remove all the old sealing and repair materials exposing firm rough concrete. The cracks up to 3/4" deep were then conditioned and filled flush with Belzona® 4111.


Belzona Facts:

Belzona® 4111 has a high bond strength to old concrete and is thus the ideal product to use for this type of repair. Belzona has a long successful history solving these types of problems.
