Stick on safety strips were in use but had to be replaced on a regular basis. Contrary to original opinion, cleaning did not pose a problem for the housekeeping staff. Safety was also enhanced as loose or missing strips no longer posed the additional safety problems. - Preparation underway using a straight edge template and a saw fitted with a double half inch masonary cutting blade and vacuum. This involved a double pass to achieve the desired 1-inch prepared strip. Masking tape was applied to the edges.
