Application Situation:

Petrochemical storage tank roof.

Problem:

During loading and unloading, the pipework suffered from vibration. Increased frequency of loading and discharge was exacerbating the problem and structural damage was a concern. Additional supports were designed to solve problem but due to safety restrictions, no hot work was allowed. Cold bonding of additional supports using Belzona was therefore specified.

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-15.

Belzona Facts:

Belzona provided the client with the solution to eliminate vibrations by installing additional supports on the tank roof. The cold bonding avoided hot work. The modification was achieved in just 4 hours.
