Application Situation:

Raw ore mill at a zinc mine and refining facility



Wear on the riding ring of the primary ore mill resulted in the development of a hole. This allowed leakage of slurry into the mill gearbox lubrication system. As this was a single stream mill, this was a critical piece of equipment and needed to be returned to service immediately.



Belzona 1111 (Super Metal)

Application Method:

Belzona 1111 Super Metal was applied in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5


Belzona Facts:

Belzona 1111 quickly sealed the leaking areas, preventing further contamination and allowed the critical part to return to service faster than conventional repair techniques, saving the customer in downtime and resulting production losses. After three years the repaired area was inspected and is still in perfect condition.
