1. Typical crash barrier assembly 2 . Crash barrier base bonded to steel tile 3. Close up after cure

Application Situation
Crash barrier protection equipment within the production facility.
Application Method
Application was carried out using a midified version of Belzona System Leaflet FPA-11. Both the steel tiles on the floor and steel base of the crash barriers were prepared using an MBX Bristle Blaster before being bonded together using Belzona 1111. Care was taken to ensure Belzona 1111 exuded from all edges and was used to create a smooth fillet around the base.
Belzona Facts
Belzona was selected for its high bond strength which was tested by the client to the point where, when a lateral force was applied, it resulted in the tile being forced up from the concrete it was fixed into. The bond between crash barrier base and steel tile remained intact. In addition to this, it met the criteria for hygiene requirements.
