Belzona® Protects Internal Of Back-Up Separator

Application Situation:

Separator to remove majority of hydrocarbons before the knock out vessels. Also used as an emergency dump vessel.

 
 

Problem:

Internal erosion-corrosion caused by presence of sour water and operating temperature up to 100°C.

Belzona® 1391 (Ceramic HT Metal)

Application Method:

Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5. After thorough cleaning and removal of previous coating, the vessel was grit blasted and coated with the Belzona® 1391.

 
 

Belzona Facts:

Previous coating, a vinyl ester epoxy, had failed due to operating temperature. Belzona® 1391 selected based on previous experience in similar environments.
