Problem: Ore, (100% solid), in contact with the trunnion, combined with humidity and room temperature, generates corrosion and abrasion. The application of a product was necessary in order to protect the worn surface against corrosion and abrasion at the operating equipment temperature of 50°C.

Application Method
This application was carried out based on Belzona Know-How System Leaflet SHM-13. Surface was prepared by grit blast (Sinter Ball) to achieve the appropriate roughness and cleanness standards. After the surface preparation, Belzona 1311 was applied on the areas with pores in order to level the surface. After that, Belzona 1812 was applied as a final coating.
