Problem: Excessive wear on the flop gate (valve) made of AR steel (AR 400). It only lasted 9 months before wearing out. Customer was looking for a longer term solution.

Application Situation
A flop gate which is a chute that is “flopped” to one side or the other exposing the chute that the plant needs the aggregae in.
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with Belzona System Leaflet SHM-7.
Belzona Facts
Customer was looking for an 18 month life cycle rather than the 9 months provided by AR 400. The first option, Belzona 1811 (Ceramic Carbide) lasted about 9 months, equivalent to the AR 400 steel. Belzona 9811 tiles solution has been in place since the fall of 2006.
