Problem: The shaft of a road roller presented wear with thickness loss at the bearing seat area, which was probably caused by occasional seizure. It was necessary to repair this area with a product that had excellent mechanical strength so that the part could return to normal operation. Operating conditions: Temperature < 93°C (immersion); 200°C (dry).

Application Method
Repair was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know How System Leaflet MPT-1. Surface preparation was obtained by machining, leaving the affected area with a coarse and rough thread profile. Afterwards, cleaning was carried out with a degreaser. Belzona 1111 was applied on the prepared area, and the excess was removed by machining, thus obtaining the required dimensions. Equipment dimensions: weight: approximately 8.5 tons. Diameter: 440 mm. Recovered width: 200 mm.
