Customer Location:

Vegetable Oil Processor - Liverpool, UK

Application Date:

March 2005

Five-meter diameter storage tank - carbon steel construction

The tank was experiencing classic Corrosion Under Insulation caused by water ingress that was sitting on the lagging bands around the tank and soaking through the lagging. Problem made still worse by the lining material being highly volatile requiring a Nitrogen shroud before and during any potential welding operations.
