Application Situation
Pipe work at a pumping station.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-2 for applying erosion-corrosion resistant coatings. The surface was abrasive blasted to prepare the area and Belzona 5831 was applied directly onto the prepared surface with a short bristled brush, scrubbing the product well into the surface to ensure complete wetting as a two coat system.

Belzona 5831 is an environmental moisture tolerant barrier coating for the protection of metallic and non-metallic surfaces. Belzona 5831 has been specifically formulated for application to surfaces that cannot be dry for application. The product displaces water from the surface ensuring maximum adhesion to damp or wet surfaces, even underwater, and protects against corrosion.
