Problem: After testing a newly installed line, the customer found a pinhole leak at a weld.  Hot work was not permitted because  crude oil was now in the line.

Application Situation
Pinhole leak at weld on a crude oil line.
Application Method
The appliacation was carried out using a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-11. Belzona 1221 was used to stop the immediate leak. The area surrounding the leak was then prepared and Belzona 1161 was applied for long term protection.
Belzona Facts
To purge the line in order to weld would have taken days and thousands of dollars, the Belzona repair was made in less than an hour and the customer was up and running the same day.
