Application Situation

40-year old 5-stage irrigation pump.

Application Method

All surfaces to be coated were properly grit blasted to a near white finish. The parts were washed down with a non-chlorinated cleaner. Areas of extreme pitting or cavitation were repaired using Belzona 1221. The first coat of Belzona 1341 was then applied, with the second coat being applied the following day. Applications was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflets CEP-1 & CEP-10.

Belzona Facts

With a pump of this size, replacement would be a very costly option. Using Belzona products to repair and protect this pump will result in another 40 years of operation and increased productivity and lower operational costs. The customer is already making plans to coat the remaining 12 pumps that they use.
