Application Situation
Drum screen used to remove debris from the water entering the main cooling water pumps
Application Method
Application was carried out in accordance with a modified version of Belzona Know-How System Leaflet VPF-1. After thorough cleaning the profile was rebuilt with the Belzona® 1311.
Belzona Facts
Welding was being considered but this would have taken several weeks to complete as it would have involved removing the edge plates, welding and re-machining. The Belzona application was completed in-situ and in a fraction the time the welding option would have taken. Twenty-eight kilograms of Belzona® 1311 were used in the application.
