Water / Wastewater (WATR)

Valves, Pipes and Fittings (VPF)

Customer Location:

National Water Company, Wales, UK

Application Date:

March 2015

Application Situation:

A 30 inch diameter stub pipe protruding from a dam wall.

The pipe had suffered from corrosion over time which had caused the formation of pits on the surface of the steel. This resulted in weakening of the pipe wall and requirement to repair the steel. As the pipe cannot be shut off, an in-situ, cold applied repair was chosen.
