Belzona 9382 Release Film

Problem: The pipe had suffered from corrosion over time which had caused the formation of pits on the surface of the steel. This resulted in weakening of the pipe wall and requirement to repair the steel. As the pipe cannot be shut off, an in-situ, cold applied repair was chosen.

Application Situation
A 30 inch diameter stub pipe protruding from a dam wall.
Application Method
The application was carried out as per the Belzona Superwrap II method statement provided. Following thorough grit blasting to the required standard, the Belzona Superwrap II system was applied. Once the required thickness and number of wraps were achieved, the repair was consolidated in Belzona 9382 Release Film and allowed to cure. Once cured the Belzona 9382 release Film was removed.
