Application Situation
Hydraulic ram suffering scars in 3 places from being repeatedly struck against the side of a dumpster. Customer was looking for an alternative to replacing the expensive ram.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet MPT-3. We used a handheld drill and drill press to square the corners and a die grinder and dremel tool to clean up the edges. A propane torch was used to sweat out residual oil both before and after drilling and grinding. Brake cleaner was used for a final cleanup before application.
Belzona Facts
The alternative was replacement of the $1800 hydraulic ram. The customer used about $40 of Belzona 1111 and a couple of hours of labor for a savings of over $1700.
