The Flare Stack is approximately 1 m (3.2 ft) in diameter and 100 m (328.1 ft) in height. | | | Problem:Following a successful trial application, the customer decided to use Belzona 1523 as the product can handle high operating temperatures and could be applied in the difficult, on-site location. | | | Products:Belzona 1523 | | | Substrate:Steel | | | Application Method:The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet TCC-5. After a high pressure jet-wash, the surface was prepared with spin-blasting and followed by 3 coats of Belzona 1523. The spin spray application of approximately 300 L of product was monitored via screens. | | | Belzona Facts:A mock-up test was initially set-up at a location in Singapore, which was used to develop the setting up of the spin-spray equipment in order to determine the travel speed, number of passes and required film thickness, as well as to demonstrate how the application would be conducted during the shutdown. | | | Photographs Description
