Application Situation
The pipe for the return air and media blast material from the blast machine.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System leaflet SHM-8 for rebuilding worn pipe elbows. Belzona 9811 was bonded to the outside of the elbow with Belzona 1111. Then, Belzona 9811 was grouted using Belzona 1812 to fill in all the gaps with the abrasion resistant material. Then, Belzona 9381 was wrapped around the elbow wetted out with Belzona 4151.
Belzona Facts
The customer was replacing the pipe with a new pipe, which was very costly. The Belzona repair didn’t just save the customer money, it also lasted longer than just the pipe alone.
