Problem: Previous flanges were suffering from corrosion. New flanges were installed and the customer wanted to avoid corrosion.

Application Situation
Well head flanges.
Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet GSS-11 for the protection of flanges and fastenings. The surface was cleaned and prepared using Belzona 9111 to remove all dirt, grease and surface contaminants. The surface where Belzona 3411 was bonded to was prepared using a wire brush. Belzona 9431 was applied to the flange, covering the gap. Belzona 8411 was spray applied to the surface and once touch dry, plastic caps were applied to the bolts of the flange. Two coats of Belzona 3411 were applied to the flanges in accordance with Belzona Instructions For Use.

The customer chose to avoid corrosion with Belzona 3411, a flexible, peelable and resealing coating system allowing easy access to flange fastenings. This system has excellent corrosion resistance, excellent UV and environmental weathering, is quick and simple to use.
