Application Situation

Application Method
The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet FPA-3 for protecting floors and drains against chemical attack. A jet wash was used to clean the floor of any contamination and a diamond grinder was used to prepare the floor. Belzona 5231 was applied to the surface as a two coat system using a medium nap roller in accordance with the Belzona Instructions For Use.

The customer's decision to use Belzona 5231 was based on its high build, solvent free coating suitable for application to a range of rigid substrates including concrete and steel. Slip resistance can be improved by incorporating additional aggregate. This system is easily mixed and applied by using a roller. Downtime is minimal due to fast curing time.
