Application Method:

The surface was blasted to the requirements of SSPC SP10 (Near White Metal). Profile measurements were checked and the surface was cleaned and degreased with Belzona 9111. Belzona 1121 was then applied to 18' of the riser to fill pitting in order to restore the original pipe thickness. Belzona 1121 was sanded to abrade the surface and wiped down with Belzona 9111. Belzona 1982 was applied in 5 layers. Belzona 9382 was wrapped over the Superwrap II application area to consolidate and compress during cure.


Belzona Facts:

The repair and application of Belzona SuperWrap II was completed in less than 8 hours, in addition to the 24 hours required for the system to cure. Belzona had quality control throughout the application and all hold points surveyed were registered.
