Application Situation:

Main engine base of the propulsion system on the fishing boat with 500 tons of storage.



Maintenance of the propulsion system of the boat, including the propeller, shaft, gearbox and engine, requires realignment of the main engine and the implementation of new foundation chocks that guarantee alignment is maintained and complies with the Marine Certification norms such as Lloyd’s Register or American Bureau of Shipping.

Application Method:

The application was carried out in accordance with Belzona Know-How System Leaflet GSS-12, BEL CIS 100 with ABS certification and Belzona 7111 IFU.


Belzona Facts:

The implementation of chocks with the liquid product, Belzona 7111, is simple, quick and very safe due to its design properties, which make it a very cost-effective and convenient technique when compared with other conventional methods such as the tedious manufacturing of metallic shims. The application allows for a guarantee of permanent alignment and durability with the American Bureau of Shipping and Lloyd’s Register Classification.
